Licensed 的同事

As a part of a full-spectrum training program, the UDCC connects with developing counselors, social workers, and licensed marriage and family therapy clinicians from practicum to licensure. The Licensed 的同事 Supervision cohort is a paid position for individuals who have graduated from a accredited graduate program, completed their practicum and internship hours, have taken all the licensing tests, and are working towards their full licensure hours. Requirements

The requirements to become a practicum Intern at the UDCC are as follows:  

  • Graduated from accredited Master program in Counseling or related field, 
  • Completed National Exams (NCE, NCMHCE),
  • Current and active Texas Associate License (LPC-Associate, LMFT-A, LMSW),
  • Current and active Supervisor through the State of Texas, 
    • Provided for free with a UDCC supervisor,
    • If external, not through the UDCC, a copy of supervisory agreements, verification of supervisor status, verification of supervisor license status, verification of supervisor liability insurance, and a brief supervisor bio will be required.
  • Available to provide in-person and online services,
  • Minimum 15 hours per week of direct hours,
  • Max 24 hours per week of direct hours,
  • Four hours of individual supervision hour per month with Individual supervisor,
  • One hour of group supervision per week,
  • Current Supervisory & Training Contract with the UDCC,
  • 的同事 carry their own liability insurance, providing a copy of the policy to the UDCC Director,
  • Completed background check by UD HR,
  • Completed W9 on file,
  • Other potentially specific responsibilities or requirements may be discussed.

Practice Opportunities & 好处

  • UDCC follows all State of Teas requirements for Associate clinical hours - direct and indirect,
  • Provide direct services to a diverse group of individuals and couples, with options for group and brief family therapy,
  • Provide intake interviews, mental status evaluations, biopsychosocial histories, mental health history, and psychological assessment for treatment planning and caseload management,
  • Techniques and interventions for prevention and treatment of a broad range of mental health issues,
  • Strategies to advocate for persons with mental health issues in the University environment or greater community,
  • Medical Doctors on-site for case consultation, 
  • Supervised exposure and work with the Office of Student Affairs, the 健康 Clinic, Care and BIT Teams, and Campus Safety Procedures with on-campus Crises, 
  • Collaboration within the higher education community to develop programs and interventions to promote the academic, social, and career success of individuals in higher education 设置,
    • Including activities during Mental 健康 Week, various student group activities, 和其他人. 
  • Strategies to assist individuals in higher education settings with personal/social development,
  • Interventions related to a broad range of mental health issues for individuals in higher education 设置,
  • Strategies for addiction prevention and intervention for individuals in higher education 设置,
  • Use of multiple data sources to inform programs and services in higher education settings.
